Lange Structural Group, LLC was established to provide high quality innovative structural engineering services. We provide full service consulting and design services on a wide variety of project types. Project experience ranges from $30 million high-tech research facilities, to very precise renovation work which requires preservation of the surrounding facility. We also perform analysis and condition appraisals for existing buildings. We have engineers with their Professional Engineering License as well as their true Structural Engineering License. We also have a national Model Law Structural Engineering (MLSE) certificate which is a nationally recognized certification which allows licensing in nearly all 50 states.

We just finished up a big project that had an aggressive schedule. Jim knew this and designed the steel structure to have as much work as possible be done in fabricating so as to reduce labor and time during steel erection. For example bolted moment connections / very limited field welding required / LeJune bolts. Working with Jim who has a tremendous knowledge of construction and buildings has made my job as a contractor much easier. Whether it is having details in the drawings that are actually buildable or discussing field options. Jim’s level of understanding adds value to the project that saves time, money, and frustration.

Jim was lead structural engineer for design of the Physics Replacement Facility at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Jim’s performance exceeded expectations. He was proactive, he anticipated the needs of other disciplines and he met all deadlines. I look forward to working with Jim again.

I have worked with Jim Lange on numerous projects over the years. He has always been a pleasure to work with. His professionalism, eye for detail, and dedication to the project have always shown through. Even more important from my end as a commercial construction superintendant is his open mindedness and desire to work with contractors to create structural systems that use a common sense approach for ease of construction.
